ZIMBABWE · EDUCATION · HOPE

Building brighter futures through Education.

We support children and families in Zimbabwe through education, essential resources, wellbeing and community development.

OUR PURPOSE

We advance education and support children and young people in Zimbabwe, giving every child the chance to thrive.

PROVEN IMPACT

£44,737.50 raised across three golf days

Before the Foundation existed, our Simbi Ltd golf day was already raising money and handing it straight to children's charities. It has grown every year since. As our own registration completes, that same commitment now powers our work.

UPDATES

Our first award

A university place, kept

This September the Foundation made its first award.

A student in Zimbabwe was about to lose her place at university. She had the grades, an A, a B and a C at A-level, all in the subjects her degree is built on. What she didn't have was the balance of last semester's fees, and without it she could not register for the next one. None of it was to do with ability.

She is the first student the Foundation has funded. We have committed to her degree to completion, however long that takes rather than for a set number of years. The fees go straight to her university each semester, in full. Nothing is repayable and nothing is expected in return.

OUR PROMISE TO YOU

Where your gift goes

This year's golf day raised £18,037.50, our largest total yet. The first call on it came to us rather than the other way round: a student weeks from losing her university place over an unpaid balance. We checked it, we paid it and we've committed to her degree to completion.

The rest stays ring-fenced. Soon we travel to Zimbabwe to visit schools in person, meeting teachers, sitting with families and seeing for ourselves where help makes the most difference. We'll publish exactly where the money goes once we're back.
